Mike Ciresi Would Lower Coleman Fundraising Numbers
If you have ever received a piece of mail or literature from Norm Coleman for Senate, you would have noticed that Al Franken's name appears more often than Coleman's name. Why? Well, it is obvious: Republicans hate Franken and will write large checks to keep him out of the Senate. It also makes sense that if Coleman was facing a different candidate, say a less-hated DFLer, Republicans would be less likely to shell out big bucks to take down the DFLer. Mike Ciresi is the sort of Democrat who Republicans would not be in such a tizzy over. In fact, some Republicans may actually see Ciresi as a bearable alternative to Coleman. We will admit that Franken rallies the Democrats, but when facing Ciresi, having Republicans that much less determined to win could be the difference between victory and defeat for Dems.

Another Call in...
This is the exact kind of response to Franken that we're worried about. Listen to this call in from a DFLer who's considering voting for Coleman. :(
